Closed circuit television

Closed circuit television (CCTV) is used for the inspection and condition assessment of sewer pipes. This video inspection process can reveal the exact point where there is a sewer blockage, water infiltration or tree root damage.

While Unitywater primarily uses CCTV for existing Unitywater infrastructure, this service may also be engaged to survey private sewer lines.

Unitywater offers a CCTV hire service in both the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast regions. Residents and businesses can request this service for a fee (to be advised on application).

To apply for this service, contact us. We will endeavour to advise you of the cost and expected service delivery timeframe within eight working hours after receiving your request. Payment must be made prior to the service being provided.

If you require immediate action in instances such as a blocked drain, you must inform Unitywater. Where appropriate, we may refer you to a private plumber. If the problem is found to be in Unitywater infrastructure, you can then apply to have the plumber’s fee reimbursed.
