Right to information
What you might know as the Freedom of Information Act has undergone a reform process and it's now called the Right to Information Act 2009. The aim of this reform is to make information available, provide equal access to information across all sectors of the community, and provide appropriate protection for individuals' privacy.
Unitywater is committed to providing the community with greater access to information, unless on balance, it is contrary to the public interest to provide that information.
Unitywater is required to develop and publish on its website, details of the information it is making available to the public via its Publications Scheme.
To access information not available online through our Publications Scheme, you will need to submit a formal application under the Right to Information Act 2009 or the Information Privacy Act 2009. To find out more, go to access to information.
Members of the public may also request copies of, or access to, documents that relate to their personal information and apply to have their personal information amended under the Information Privacy Act 2009.
