Recycled water carriers
If you would like to become a recycled water carrier, you need to meet the requirements in our agreement, including completing a recycled water training course.
All individual drivers/users must complete this training as a Workplace Health and Safety requirement. The training can be face-to-face or Unitywater can send you an information book and questionnaire for completion. Please contact us to obtain your training package.
After you have completed the training, you can apply for your annual agreement. You will need to pay your annual access charge and deposit for your recycled water access key/tag.
Using recycled water
Once you have your agreement and have paid the necessary fees, you can access our bulk recycled water outlets throughout the region. As our outlets are 3 inch male cam lock fittings, carriers require a 3 inch female fitting. There are many outlets across the region, some with limitations on the size of vehicle/vessel, some with access time restrictions. See recycled water outlets for details.
When taking water from the outlets, Unitywater charges for recycled water on a consumption basis. This is calculated via an automated system. The charge is based on the class of recycled water you use (i.e. Class A+, A or B). As part of the terms and conditions of your permit, you are required to keep a logbook of any recycled water taken from the Unitywater supply network.
Upon delivery of your first load of recycled water, regardless of the quality, you must (under Workplace Health and Safety requirements), provide the customer with a copy of our recycled water fact sheet (PDF).
If an incident occurs with recycled water within the Moreton Bay or Sunshine Coast regions, the following form must be completed and returned to:

Cancelling your agreement
If you would like to cancel your agreement, you will need to advise us in writing that you are no longer carrying recycled water.
You will also need to return the access key/ tag. We will then return your deposit.
