The Good Choice Project deliver an education program aimed at youth to provide insights on drugs, alcohol, gambling, health, fitness, social media, respectful relationships and mental health. Our sponsorship will contribute to mobile catering equipment to bring young people together to assist in making good choices.
The Butterfly Quilters is a group of seven community volunteers that meet weekly to make handmade quilts for people who have experienced domestic violence and for children in care. Unitywater provide support by paying for the materials to make the quilts. Watch their video to see how the simple gift of a handmade quilt is making a big difference to children.
Moodlu Men’s Shed is a relatively new group who work with disadvantaged youth to provide solid role models in their lives. Currently the shed has no electricity which limits the work they can do. Unitywater supports them by providing land for the shed and funding basic solar panels. The electricity will allow them to run monthly life skills lessons for youth.
The Pyjama Foundation aims to change the life outcomes of children in foster care with education to empower their lives with learning, life skills and confidence to change the direction of their life. Unitywater supports them by funding training for 75 new Pyjama Angels to act as individual mentors for the children.
Hope within Reach supports vulnerable people by running eight winter warmth events in the Moreton Bay Region to give people hope. They give away blankets, swags, hats and food to over 1,200 vulnerable people each year and Unitywater provides support by sponsoring these events.
