Autism Treehouse

Butterfly Quilters

Coolum Men's Shed

Providing specialised bike riding lessons for children with autism to help them become more confident and independent in their play.

Butterfly Quilters bring women together to make quilts for charities such as Rizeup and The Pyjama Foundation.
The Skills Development Program at Coolum Men’s Shed has provided workshops and seminars to upskill and engage senior men and women.

Growing Futures

Providing resources and support to help grandparent carers keep children safe online and in the community.

ECOllaboration’s catchment tours educated school students on their local waterways, providing hands on excursions to increase knowledge and awareness of waterway health.
Community Solutions’ community gardening projects engaged young people at risk to enhance their confidence and individual skills, while building lasting community connections.

In 2018, the Hair Aid Community Cuts Program provided almost 10,000 free haircuts to disadvantaged community members.
Supporting children impacted by trauma or mental health issues with a unique equine-assisted therapy program that connects kids with horses.

The SafeTALK story

Ocean Crusader’s waterway clean-up program enabled community members to help keep our rivers and beaches free from plastic waste while paddling on their boards or kayaks.

Providing essential support for disadvantaged children and undertaking action based research for future mentoring programs. 

Uniting Care’s suicide prevention workshops reduce the stigma of suicide and provide community members with prevention strategies.  

World Environment Day

The World Environment Day Festival provides a fun forum for the community to come together and learn about threats to the local environment and what we can all do to counteract them.
