The reservoir is the viewing platform at Laguna Lookout and Unitywater has worked with Noosa Council and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) to enhance the appearance of the asset for visitors and tourists to the area.

Unitywater Customer and Community Executive Manager Katherine Gee said the works helped complement the lookout area.

“Our water reservoir is located in Noosa National Park, and with the lovely planting and improvements completed by QPWS, we’re delighted with how our upgrade works have helped enhance this space,” she said.

The reservoir has received a fresh coat of paint on the front of the reservoir and balustrades, and the top of the reservoir has been resurfaced.

QPWS Senior Ranger Omar Bakhach thanked Unitywater for its contribution to making Laguna Lookout such a special place.

“Last year QPWS finished improvements to disability access, parking, walkways and signage, and landscaped the area,” Mr Bakhach said.

“This is one of Noosa’s top spots that all visitors and locals should check out.”

To celebrate the festival, Unitywater has two double passes to give away, including one to Michaela Burger on Sunday 21 July and one to Umbilical Brothers on Friday 26 July. See Unitywater’s Facebook page for how to enter.
