To help meet the Queensland Government’s target of building 215 000 new homes over the next 20 years across Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa, Unitywater needs to invest around $2 billion in water and wastewater infrastructure to connect new customers and maintain service levels for existing customers.

From 1 July, the average annual combined Unitywater bill will increase by 1.6 per cent which equates to around $28 per annum.

In addition to already passing through the State Government’s bulk water price freeze, Unitywater will now match this freeze on water charges and keep them at the same rates as last year. The increase relates to wastewater charges only.

The Unitywater team remain committed to delivering the 24/7 essential water and wastewater services that their fellow community members across Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa rely on to support a healthy and thriving local economy, environment and lifestyle, for current and future customers.
