Business water and wastewater prices

To keep pace with the region's strong growth, we are investing $2 billion over five years to upgrade water and wastewater infrastructure, including pipes, pumps and treatment plants.

Our customer focus and operational efficiency has contained the annual increase to 3.5%, which is lower than current 4.2% CPI.

This price change is lower than the 4.4% increase we forecast in December 2025 and reflects a full pass through of the Queensland Government’s freeze on their bulk water charge this year.

For the average customer, your water and wastewater bill will increase by $63 per annum, which equates to $15.75 on a quarterly bill, or around $1.20 per week.

More than three quarters of the $63 increase is to cover the cost of infrastructure to support our rapidly growing region, with:

• $48 funding investment and financing costs for growth infrastructure to meet the Queensland Government’s target of building 215 000 new homes in our region over the next 20 years
• $8 covering Unitywater’s increased operational costs
• $7 meeting the additional costs arising from the Queensland Government’s price monitoring review
