Dayboro in drought

Dayboro stepping out of severe drought conditions

Dayboro is not connected to the SEQ Water Grid and relies on its own water supply from local bores drawing from an underground aquifer.

The community was called on to limit non-essential water use in November 2020 due to dry weather which caused local bore levels to drop significantly.

Following recent rainfall, Unitywater and bulk water supplier Seqwater advise that the community of Dayboro is stepping out of severe drought conditions.

While the need to conserve water has eased, residents are encouraged to be a Local Water Legend and continue to use it wisely. Small changes around your home and garden can make a big collective difference to our long-term water security. Check out more water-saving tips.

We thank the community for their help to ensure a continuous water supply for everyone.
