Unitywater Response Protocol and Statement on Modern Slavery

Modern slavery describes situations where offenders use coercion, threats or deception to exploit victims and undermine their freedom.

Modern slavery takes many forms including:

  • human trafficking
  • slavery
  • servitude
  • forced labour
  • debt bondage
  • forced marriage, and
  • the worst forms of child labour

Unitywater is taking a proactive approach to identifying modern slavery and other labour rights risks across our operations and supply chain.

Unitywater is indicating to our stakeholders, customers and the community how we are monitoring our operations and supply chains to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).

Unitywater also has a Modern Slavery Response Protocol, which describes the steps to report any suspected instances of modern slavery at a local or international level.
