Unitywater is committed to investing in sustainable wastewater services for the growing population in the Moreton Bay region. We have been working closely with State Government, the City of Moreton Bay and local developers to proactively plan for the region’s future needs.
A Morayfield wastewater network capacity upgrade will ensure our infrastructure can support population growth in the region. It will be delivered in two stages:
Stage one
This stage will deliver critical wastewater services to 26,000 new residents that are expected to move to the Morayfield South Central Development Area. The works include upgrading two wastewater pumping stations and laying nearly three kilometres of wastewater pipeline in the vicinity of Coach Road West and Grogan Road Park. Construction commenced in late 2025 and is expected to take up to two years to complete.

Stage two
This stage will help deliver critical wastewater services to new developments in Caboolture West where more than 100,000 new residents are expected to move in the next 20 years. This project will increase the capacity of the pipeline connecting Peterson Road, Morayfield to the South Caboolture Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is in early design with site investigations ongoing. A final pipeline alignment has not yet been determined.
