The graphs below show how smoothing your bill can help you manage your budget. If your water and sewerage bills totalled $1560 last year, then your Smoothpay payments would be $130 per month or $60 per fortnight for this year.

Setting up Smoothpay

Smoothpay is only available to set up:

  • online at My Account - if you are not registered yet for My Account, all you need is your Unitywater account number

  • for water and sewerage account holders

How it works:

  • We calculate your payment amount based on your bill history.

  • You can pay by your preferred method but direct debit is recommended because it's the simplest, most hassle-free way to pay your Unitywater bills.

  • New customers need one bill before Smoothpay can be set up.

  • You can change or cancel anytime online in My Account.

More about Smoothpay

Smoothpay is available if:

  • you are the registered property owner or have full authority on a water and sewerage account

  • you have registered and logged in to My Account

  • you have less than $500 owing on your account.

New water and sewerage customers must have at least one bill to be able to work out an average to set up Smoothpay.

You cannot set up Smoothpay if:

  • your account has more than $500 overdue and is under recovery action

  • there is a restrictor installed on your property

  • you have a current payment plan or Direct Debit arrangement on your account

  • your property is for sale.

Smoothpay is not available for the payment of other types of Unitywater accounts (including general sundry accounts for trade waste, water carriers, metered hydrant standpipes and other services). However, customers with these accounts may still use any one of the other convenient payment options listed on their Unitywater bill.
