Our prices have changed from 1 July 2023

From 1 July 2023 your water and sewerage prices will have increased with typical household water and sewerage bills going up by about 5.9%.

There's a lot that goes into delivering essential water and sewerage services that protect public health and enable liveable communities. The cost of doing so has increased, and we're balancing this with the need to keep bills as low as possible.

3. Unitywater is required to pass this on to customers at cost. All bulk water charges are passed back to the State Government and we do not profit from this charge.

1: Sewerage usage charge is based on water usage multiplied by a 90% sewerage usage percentage, capped at 740 litres per day. The maximum sewerage usage charge based on 90% sewerage usage is $198.26 for a 365-day year. A separate sewerage usage cap will be applicable for each unit in a residential unit complex.

2: Minimum charge for each lot whether connected, unconnected, strata titled, or with no meter. Sewerage access charge is based on a 90% sewerage usage percentage and will apply for each unit in a residential unit complex. Annual charge equivalent to a standard 365-day year is $672.33.

A property is considered a retirement village where it meets the following criteria:

  1. The property’s primary use is as a retirement village or aged care facility (this excludes hospitals and medical facilities)
  2. The property is not strata or group titled
  3. The Land Use Code is:
    - 2100 series: Residential institutions, aged people’s homes (Non-Medical Care), or
    - 2700 series: Aged people’s home, nursing home, convalescent homes.
