Participation Agreement

Unitywater is a statutory authority, formed under the South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail Restructuring) Act 2009.

Governed by an independent board, we have a Participation Agreement with the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Noosa local governments.

Reconciliation Action Plan

Unitywater’s vision for reconciliation is for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians to be acknowledged, respected and celebrated for their contributions to the environment, water and the community.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan is our formal commitment to building stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Modern Slavery 

Modern slavery describes situations where offenders use coercion, threats or deception to exploit victims and undermine their freedom. It takes many forms including human trafficking, slavery, servitude, forced labour, debt bondage, forced marriage, and the worst forms of child labour.

Unitywater is taking a proactive approach to identifying modern slavery and other labour rights risks across our operations and supply chains.

Describes the steps for reporting any suspected instances of modern slavery at a local or international level.
